From the Sidelines
05/22/2008 2:15 PM - Katie, Rage Dance Team
It's hard to believe that we are almost finished with the regular season! This year has been especially tough for me because I have been unable to perform the last two home games due to a bulging disc in my lower back.
As a dancer, this is a debilitating injury because everything we do revolves around our core, without it being the strongest it can be, we are sidelined until we are back to full strength! This has been both a positive and negative experience for me. With this being my third year on the team, it gave me the opportunity to experience the games as our awesome fans do! And it is exciting! However, it has also required me to put dancing on hold while I heal with physical therapy.
With the season's end drawing near, the doctor thinks I will be back on the field for our June 1st home game!! I can't wait to be back out there, I have missed cheering our team on this season. See you all on June 1st and GO Rampage!!
It's Your Turn to Dance
04/14/2008 4:16 PM - Katie, Rage Dance Team
It's that time of year again, time for Junior Rage Dance Team Clinic! It's all happening Sunday, April 20, at MVP Sports Spot in Kentwood. Any young dancers who are between the ages of six and 14 are welcome to come and join us for a dance clinic from 1 - 3 p.m., with registration at 12:30 p.m. All of the hard work that the dancers put in at the clinic, will be rewarded at their performance on the field at the Rampage game on Friday, April 25th! If you have any questions, or would like to register ahead of time, please contact Bethany at bcapra@rampagefootball.com.
Behind the Scenes
04/08/2008 4:09 PM - Katie, Rage Dance Team
Hey Rampage Fans!! It's been too long since I've been able to post, but with the season off to a great start, the Rage Dance Team has been hard at work! We are busy with appearances, practices and most importantly games! As a team, we meet twice a week to prepare for the next home game. Which, if you don't have your Rampage schedule in front of you, is coming up this Sunday, April 13th at 2 p.m. As a third year member of the dance team, I am always surprised at how exhausting game days can be! We arrive approximately 3-4 hours before game time to warm up, practice and then prepare to take the field. As we enter the field, our adrenaline kicks in and we are immediately energized by the cheers from the crowd. The first and second quarters fly by and, before you know it, we are performing our halftime routine! It's time for another quick change and back onto the field to finish off the game. Then we find ourselves waiting to meet and greet our fans and for the first time, I look at a clock and realize its already been a full days work and worth every minute of it! I look forward to seeing all of you loyal Rampage fans on Sunday and remember to cheer loud, cause we love to hear it!!

Getting Closer!
01/08/2008 12:55 PM - Katie, Rage Dance Team
Hey Rampage Fans! As the season draws even closer, our team is hard at work to bring an amazing start to the 2008 season!! I can hardly believe that it is already January, but that means the Home Opener is only a few short months away! As a team, we are working hard to stay in shape and to have all of our routines ready to wow our fans! In terms of fitness, our team is very serious about individualizing each workout for each of our own personal needs. We all make sure to work hard and eat healthy, as that is a huge benefit to build our stamina for the demanding season. With practices twice a week for three hours at a time, we are merely training ourselves for an even more strenuous season. During each game, you will notice that there is hardly a minute when we are not dancing! That requires a lot of stamina and tons of energy!! So remember to cheer us on any chance you get! That's all for now! Be sure to check out our new team photos HERE. Happy New Year!
2008 Season Begins
12/05/2007 8:37 AM - Katie, Rage Dance Team
As the holiday season is getting underway, the Rage Dance Team has been hard at work for the last two months gearing up for the 2008 Rampage season. With tryouts in October, 20 very talented ladies were selected to represent the Rage Dance Team this year. As a returning member, I can hardly wait to get the season started! Although March is still a few months away, it will fly by for all of us with community appearances, our annual photo shoot for the team poster, working hard to stay in shape over the holidays and many, many practices!! The Rage Dance team has a lot of new surprises in store for the 2007-2008 season and I can't wait to see all of our loyal Rampage fans this year! Stay tuned for more Rage Dance Team happenings as the season gets underway!
