Scene Set for Central Division Battle
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Rampage of the Arena Football League announced today that 300 additional tickets to Sunday's regular season home finale against the Dallas Desperados will be released Saturday at 10:00 a.m. These tickets are available only at the Zone, located on the west side of Van Andel Arena.
Due to high public demand for this weekend's battle for the Central Division championship, the Rampage were able to secure additional tickets previously held for league and network purposes.
"This is one of those games where we could sell several thousand more tickets" said Scott Woodruff, director of development for the team. "We are delighted that a few more fans will be able to come down to the arena to cheer on the Rampage."
Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis beginning at 10:00am Saturday morning at the Zone. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the Van Andel Arena box office starting at 1:30pm Sunday. For those unable to get tickets, the game is NBC's featured game and will be televised live to over 75 percent of the country.
With a victory over Dallas on Sunday, Grand Rapids will secure the Central Division title and a home game in the first round of the AFL playoffs.
In anticipation of the final regular season home game, the Rampage organization is currently amid their inaugural Fan Appreciation Week. The week of festivities will conclude today as the team welcomes the public to attend open practice at the Rampage's official practice facility, The Soccer Spot (3701 32nd Street), from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Also, the first 3,000 fans in attendance at Sunday's game will receive complimentary Rampage foam fingers.
